What it costs.
An independent guide to race weekends at Lusail. We rate every grandstand, say what you actually see from each seat, and price the whole trip before you book a thing.

The 2026 weekends
Endurance round
The longest day of the Lusail year. One race runs deep into the night, which means a single ticket buys you daylight, dusk and floodlights in one sitting. The quietest of the three weekends, and the easiest to get a good seat at short notice.

Bikes at Lusail are the reason the floodlights went up. Later start times, a shorter race and a crowd that spreads out more than the grand prix weekend, so general admission is a far better deal here than it is in November.

The big one, and the hardest weekend of the year to do cheaply. Hotel rates in Doha roughly double, the sprint format puts a competitive session on Friday night, and the best grandstands sell out section by section rather than all at once.

Five areas, and the one you pick decides how much of your weekend you spend in transit rather than at the circuit.
| Area | Why it works | To the circuit | Rooms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lusail Marina | Closest to the gates, and the shortest run home after a night session. The full case for it → | 15 min by road estimated, outside race traffic | Find rooms (opens Booking.com in a new tab) |
| West Bay | Most rooms, most restaurants, and a metro connection north. The full case for it → | 25 min by road estimated, outside race traffic | Find rooms (opens Booking.com in a new tab) |
| The Pearl | Serviced apartments. Usually the better maths for four people. The full case for it → | 20 min by road estimated, outside race traffic | Find rooms (opens Booking.com in a new tab) |
| Msheireb and old Doha | For the days you are not at the circuit. The full case for it → | 30 min by road estimated, outside race traffic | Find rooms (opens Booking.com in a new tab) |
| Near the airport | The cheapest rooms and the longest transfer. The full case for it → | 40 min by road estimated, outside race traffic | Find rooms (opens Booking.com in a new tab) |
Driving times are taken from map distance rather than measured by us. On race day every one of them is longer, in the same direction, for everybody. How to actually get there is a page of its own.
Getting there
Going in is easy. Coming out, when a circuit that holds fifty two thousand empties at once, is the part to plan.
Full travel guide →Metro and shuttle
Ride the Red Line north, then take the shuttle that is already included in your ticket. Slowest on paper, fastest in practice once the race ends and every road out fills at the same moment.
Car and parking
Parking is included with every ticket. Capacity is not published, so treat arriving early as insurance rather than as a number we can show you, and follow the marshals rather than your map app.
Taxi and ride share
Drops you at the gates with no transfers from central Doha. A dedicated taxi service is included in the ticket. Expect a long queue on the way back out whichever you use.
