About this site
grandprix.qa is an independent guide to race weekends at Lusail International Circuit. It is not run by a series, an organiser, a team or the venue, and it is not endorsed by any of them.
How these pages are built
Every number carries a source and a date
Ticket prices, dates and circuit figures all show where they came from and when they were last checked. A price on this site is what was last reported, not a quote. The seller's own page is the only thing that is current, which is why every price sits next to a link to one.
Nothing is invented to fill a table
An earlier version of this site listed four hotels that do not exist. They were there to make a table look complete. That is the fastest way to lose a reader permanently, and it is why this site now leads on areas rather than properties, and why a named property only appears once it can be checked against live inventory.
Facts and judgement are kept apart
Prices, dates, categories and circuit figures are sourced and dated. Everything about what a seat is like to sit in, how early to arrive, or what a hotel will cost you in November is our reading rather than a measurement, and it is labelled that way on the page. Where we would otherwise have to invent a number to finish a sentence, the sentence says we do not have one.
We say when we do not know
Shade and roof detail is not published for every grandstand, so the comparison marks it "not stated" rather than guessing. We have not sat in all six stands. Where we have not, the description says what the position shows you and stops.
Each description lives on one page
A stand's full description appears on that stand's page and nowhere else. Tables elsewhere carry a one line summary and a link. The same is true of the five areas and of how you travel from each of them. It makes the reference pages worth arriving at, and it keeps this site from being five copies of itself.
No dead buttons
Every call to action on this site goes somewhere real. If a commercial arrangement is not in place, the link goes straight to the official seller and earns us nothing, and the page says so. It does not render a button that does nothing.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, email us. Corrections are made to the page and the change is stated, rather than edited away quietly.
That goes double for seat descriptions. If you have sat in a stand we have described from the layout rather than from experience, your account beats ours.
How it is paid for
Some links on this site earn a commission when you book through them, at no extra cost to you. Links that earn nothing are marked as earning nothing. The full list of who we do and do not have an arrangement with is on the disclosure page, and it is generated from the same file the links themselves are built from, so it cannot drift out of date.
