Going in is easy. Arrivals spread across an afternoon, so every route
works. The hard part is the period after a session ends, when a venue
that holds fifty two thousand empties at once, and that is the only part
of this decision worth thinking about in advance.
Best option Metro and shuttle
Ride the Red Line north, then take the event shuttle for the last
stretch to the gates. On paper it is the slowest of the four. Our
reasoning for putting it first anyway is simple: a train on its own
right of way is the only one of these options whose journey home does
not get worse as more people choose it.

Arrive early Car and parking
Parking is included with every ticket. The circuit does not publish
how many spaces there are, so arriving early is insurance rather than
a number we can show you. Follow the marshals rather than your map
app, which does not know which approach roads are closed on the day.
Leaving by car is, in our view, the worst of these four options.

Surge applies Taxi and ride share
Door to gate from anywhere in Doha with no transfers, which is worth
a lot on the way in with a group. On the way out you are queuing
either way, and the app price at the exact moment a race finishes is
the highest it will be all weekend.

Underrated Stay and wait
The post race concerts are included in your ticket. Set times are not
published in advance, so we cannot tell you how long you would be
waiting. What we can say is that staying costs nothing you have not
already paid, and it puts you on the road after the crush rather than
in it.
